In November I had the opportunity to visit Poland with the COMENIUS project and it was one of the best trips of my life mostly because I had the chance of living with a Polish family for a week.
This project helped me to be more extroverted and less shy and it really helped me improve my English since it was the main language we would use all the time. We visited Krakow which is one of the most amazing cities I have been. I loved the fact that we were given freedom to explore the city, not only Krakow but the city we were living, Chorzow. I made a lot of friends and I still talk to them today. We did a lot of activies during our stay: we visited a mine, Krakow, Chorzow and the city hall, an art gallery, but my favorite was the first day, the welcoming to school, and the last two days when I was able to attend classes with my Polish friends and we created a "disco" in the school basement at the end of the afternoon and we danced for hours.
I think this project is important because it helps students to be more open to other cultures and more tolerant as well as giving a motivation in school so that we can have good grades and improve our English.
